Sketchabilities Design Team Reveal #143

Hi Crafty friends and followers! hope you are all well. Time is in short supply for me at the moment so I am running late with this post but here we are with a layout I created about my mum. A layout with teal, gold, black colour scheme, lots of depth and texture with different materials used. The background was created with Black Gesso through a Maya Road Stencil with Heidi Swapp gold spray flicked over the page with Gold heart confetti sequins. I also used felt flowers (unknown origin) along with Kaisercraft flourish wood veneer and other elements are from A Piece of Cake Designs February kit - Crate Paper, Craft Market Collection including the background paper . Loved how all those colours and bling came together.

Sketchabilities DT Reveal Sketch #142

Welcome Blog friends again! this is my second DT Sketch Reveal for Sketchabilities. What a fantastic sketch! love love love it. I wanted to combine a masculine layout with a beach layout for my eldest son who had the great opportunity to come up close and personal with a beautiful dragonfly at the beach recently. Of course mum had her camera ready!

I started with the background of Modelling pasted smoothed over a dragon fly stencil, then I used my trusty Tim Holtz distress stains to create a colourful backdrop along with Indigo dragonfly stamp and a Kaisercraft texture stamp.

The cardstock is Coredinations which is embossed and then sanded back to reveal the white core. The patterned paper is Studio Calico.

I was going to use a chipboard frame and stamp/emboss it for the photo but instead found in my stash a Ruby Rock-it Felt frame pack and used the ornate outside frame for the photo and then the inside frame for the top right hand cluster. I am loving texture and depth on my layouts at the moment!

Other products used - Crafters Corner Washi tape, black thread, Ruby Rock-it Journal Spot, APOCD journal spots.
